Summer Graduate Business Studies

The 2021 ONLINE Summer Graduate Business Studies (SGBS) program is an excellent platform for students to experience innovative graduate-level business studies focussing on the topics of Cross-Cultural Management, Global Strategy and Social Entrepreneurship all taught by our world-renowned MBA faculty. Join graduate level students in classes to prepare you for business success while having an opportunity to build relationships and contacts with other future leaders from around the world. Classes will be a combination of synchronous and asynchronous learning. Students will have a variety of live, teacher led lectures and discussions along with pre-recorded lessons, homework assignments and readings. Students will work together to do group presentations and debates.
Students can register for 1, 2 or all 3 modules:
Program fees per module: $1,575.00 or $4,725.00 for all three.
The program fee includes: tuition, course materials and tax. Registration deadline: June 4, 2021
Cross-Cultural Management- June 21-30, 2021 Understand the complexity and dynamics of doing business across national borders. Cross-national management is a challenge because of cultural differences that affect business and management practices. Successful cross-national management, therefore, requires a good understanding of cultural differences. Effective global (or cross-national) managers should have a global mind-set, perspectives and attitudes.
Global Strategy – July 1-9, 2021 Develop an understanding of doing business in a global environment. Topics include evaluating the attractiveness of different markets; considering the best ways to enter these markets; differences in culture and the impact on consumer behavior and human resources management; and adaptations that are required in planning for different markets.
Social Entrepreneurship - July 12-20, 2021 Through a combination of lectures, group discussions and field trips to local social enterprises wrap up with a team-based project that requires students to apply what they've learned through the analysis of a social enterprise case.
The program is equivalent to three graduate level courses. (Students must seek credit approval from their home university.)
