Conflicts and international interventions

University of Bordeaux

This Bordeaux Summer School is jointly organised by Sciences Po Bordeaux, the University of Bordeaux, Université Laval, the Institute for Strategic Research at the Military School, and Paris Panthéon-Assas University. It is designed for graduate and doctoral students as well as post-doctoral fellows and professionals interested in the subject of international conflicts and interventions. Course content will allow participants to understand this topic through a multidisciplinary approach combining law, political science, international affairs, and economics.

The programme covers the analysis of different issues related to the cycle of international interventions (prevention/preparation, intervention, resolution/post-intervention). Participants will acquire a synthetic and in-depth knowledge of the tools for analysing conflicts and interventions, thus allowing them to reflect on the major controversies that these interventions raise.
