Kyungdong University

Kyungdong University (KDU) is a private college in northeastern South Korea. The college opened its doors in 1981, under the name Sokcho Technical College (속초전문대학). The Dong-U name was adopted in 1983. The "technical" part of the name was dropped in 1998, when standards for institution naming were relaxed. Dong-U was taken over by Kyungdong University in 2012
